Query and visual to show an outer join situation

I have two sets of data - one is list of people who are assigned to a space. The other is list of people sitting in a space.

Sometimes if the space is full people assigned to space A sit in space B. I want a query and visualization that shows where people assigned to space A are sitting. So, this will include all spaces assigned to A plus spaces in B that is occupied by folks who are assigned to A.

I was thinking of visualization where space A slots are identified a color, the people who are assinged to space A are in a color, while space B slots are in a different color and people assigned to space other than A but sitting in A are in different color.

Is this possible?

Please see the data and a sample output I am looking (3rd table). The two seats in different color belong to a different neighborhood and two people in different color are people from a different neighborhood sitting in the current neighborhood. How does Choropleth help here

  • you need to provide coordinates for your locations. that can be a building plan, or a blank square/rectangle.  But some sort of X/Y data is needed.
