Pulling @mentioned from Azure

Hi Folks,

I'm wondering if there is a way to pull work items from Azure DevOps in which the user has been mentioned in the work item discussion. I can't see amy fields for this in the analytics view. Are there any particular work arounds you are aware of?

Thanks

  • Hi Anonymous  I think you could use Rest API

Fetch the discussion comments of work items using the Azure DevOps REST API.

Parse the comments to look for @mentions of the user
If this post helped please do give a kudos and accept this as a solution
    Thanks In Advance

    Hi Anonymous,

Thank you for raising your concern. We really apologize for the inconvenience caused. After reviewing the details you provided, please follow the steps below, which might resolve the issue.

In Azure DevOps, you can create custom queries to filter work items based on specific criteria. While there isn't a direct field for @mentions, you can utilize the "Assigned To" or "Created By" fields along with other filters to refine the work items.

Use @mentions in work items and pull requests - Azure DevOps | Microsoft Learn

Additionally, you can configure notifications in Azure DevOps to alert you when you are mentioned in a work item discussion, helping you keep track of mentions without manual searches.
