Hi Mates,
I have a query which is blocking my work , please kindly suggest me what can be done .
Actually I'm a Power BI Pro License user , and I have to embed my reports to web so that I can view those reports in my website dashboard . The thing is being a Pro License user I dont have access to publish my reports to web .
My requirement is to embed reports in website ,but everytime I'm encountering with login page so that its not feasible for every user to view the reports .
So as per my exploration I got to understand that therez a need of admin role access to Publish my reports to web , but even then I got stucked with the confusion like If I publish my reports to web without any login page , there would be any violations can occur to my reports and data ???
I thought like the one who will clear website login page can view my reports , but my doubt is will they be available publically and any insecurity will be there for my data ???
Please kindly help me out its really helpful for me .
Thanks& Regards.
For embedding PBI reports I'm thinking to use app owns data mechanism so do i need premium license or pro license ??
"I publish my reports to web without any login page , there would be any violations can occur to my reports and data ???"
There's no way for us to know that since we have no idea what your data is. If you're doing a report compiling public data sources then no....but you probably have something in there that is internal to your company.
The ability to publish to web is a toggle on the tenant admin's page. Were it turned on, you'd be able to create a link anyone anywhere--including your worst rivals--can use. It's probably a good thing that it is turned off generally.
To put it on a website with the options available to you, the viewer would need to be logged in. For an internal website this shouldn't be a big deal because they'd presumably already be logged in to get to it. They'd also need permisions to wherever the report is. And thirdly they'd need a license, whether that's individual Pro or company-wide Premium.
I have pro license ,still i dont have publish to web option . May be using premium capacity I have to work on this ,my doubt is can the data be secured .???
No one without a Power BI Pro license for your tenant will be able to view the Power BI report. Those are the PBI pro license will have to login at least the first time they access the report.
