Preview List (Over 10000 Tables)

Hello,

I have the following issue:

When I retrieve data through SQL Server, i exceed the preview list of tables due to many tenants in my SQL/NAV-Database, reaching over 10000. This means I cannot find tables from the lower tenants using the search function of the navigator.

Example

As a workaround, i use the advanced editor, but I would like to filter the list beforehand.

Question:
Is it possible to restrict the tenants/tables when connecting to the database? SQL?

Does anyone have experience with this issue or has it been implemented a solution before? How else could one solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

Yes, using a Select SQL statemen in that box will work just fine.

Miinch87 Never seen that limitation before. Might have to mention this in the new book on Power Queyr (M) in the accessing data chapter. I don't know of any way around that limitation. It's likely a limitation of the actual connector or the navigator or both and seems like a hard-coded limit. I mean, let's be honest, 10,000 tables/views is a lot. Like, a lot a lot and was probably viewed as a reasonable maximum. Best bet is to open this as an issue in the Issues forum. For now, Advanced Editor is the way to go.
