PowerBI Zendesk Write Access

Hey,

I'm connecting PowerBI and Zendesk via the Beta connector.

I had this message pop up 'Allow Power BI to access your Zendesk account'

I can see it says that I must allow write access. Does anyone know how it would write to Zendesk and how we can mitigate this?

It is strange as Power BI is never overwriting the data in the system, it is just a data vizualization and analytics tool. 

If you do not find a way to overcome this, you can try another solution for Power BI Zendesk integration: https://www.zendesk.com/marketplace/apps/support/834457/power-bi-connector-by-alpha-serve/? 
This add-on does not collect orr store any of your data, nor it writes it.

@leahknight PowerBI cannot write data. It's just the scopes that were defined in the connector. You should then contact the connector developer and ask him why the write scope was requested.
