Helper IIIPowerBI Gateway Install Error : Non-HTTPS url redirect is not supported in webview
Hi Guys,
I was trying to use Power BI (Not Pro version) to connect to our company On Premises MS SQL Server 2008, so I install the On Premises Gateway and it shows the gateway was installed successfully. Then I need to first sign in with my company email [email protected] with the same email was register with Office 365 and MS MS Azure (Free Trial version) already.
But it encounters below issue :
Failed to sign in. Please verify your credentials and try again.

at Microsoft.IdentityModel.Clients.ActiveDirectory.AuthenticationContext.RunAsyncTask[T](Task`1 task)
at Microsoft.PowerBI.DataMovement.EnterpriseGatewayConfigurator.AuthenticationManager.AuthenticateWithSelectedUser(String authorityAddress, String resource, String clientId, String redirectAddress)

There is misunderstandings that we need pro lic to use pbi gateway.(https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-refresh-data/). So please try again with pro lic by click trial pro feature in power bi service (web) - andykmwong

However, I have been tried as Pro Trial user but still the same issue.
Think it should be another matters.

Yup, we just eliminate one cause, as my observation that you are using your ad email to authen, the right way should be o365 tenant. Let me think the way to resolve this mismatch.- andykmwong

However, I can't use the workaround solution due to the company policy, so further investigate the Gateway Installation issue is script error which was mentioned in troubleshooting page. (https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-gateway-onprem-tshoot/)
So I download and install patch 3147458 for Windows 10 Version 1511 but it also install fail for this patch.

So see if any others also face the same issue.

For temporary solution, you could create one o365 tenant in your trial o365 account and enable pro lic for it. Then use it for gateway. as topic https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Integrations-with-Files-and/On-premises-data-gateway-sign-in-Receiving-quot-Non-HTTPS-url/m-p/86348#M6336, we need configuration to enable your ad email authen with your azure AD of o365. I have no exp in these configuration, hope some admin guys could share their advice.
