PowerBI Embedded from an OData feed

We can create Power BI embedded dashboards from an OData feed through our enterprise application. We want to roll this to our 1000+ clients but we cannot force an update on the OData feed to make sure the data is up-to-date. 

Are there plans to add this as a feature? I'd love to speak with someone who may have more knowledge on the subject.

Hi @Mimani,

Currently, you are able to refresh or set schedule in API if you connect to data source using Direct Query mode, Power BI embedded doesn’t support refresh for import mode dataset. An idea about this issue has been submitted in this link, please vote it up.

In your scenario, you have to refresh the Power BI Desktop file manually and re-import each time you have updated data.

Thanks Lydia - is there a rough timeline that you're aware of? I see one of the comments says Q2 2017 but not sure how reliable that is.
