PowerBI Access to Dataverse Standard Entities

Hello experts,

I am currently working on a dashboard that accesses the data of my dataverse.
Unfortunately, I can't find all (but most) entities here.

I need the default entity 'category'.

I have read that the property 'Is Public' has to be set to 'Yes', but I cannot change this afterwards.

Is there a way to access this entity anyway?

Many thanks in advance!
With kind regards

Daniel

    Hi, daniel__st ;

    • A Power Platform environment with the following privileges:
      • To access data in a table, you must have read privileges to the table.
      • To modify a table in make.powerapps.com, you must have a security role that includes maker privileges, such as system customizer or environment maker.
    • You must have the appropriate Power BI license to build and share Power BI reports.
    • To use the Dataverse connector, the Enable TDS endpoint setting must be enabled in your environment. More information: Manage feature settings

    Hello Yalan Wu,

    Thank you for your feedback.
All the requirements listed are met - I also have no problem accessing the entities from Power BI, I have already created a few dashboards with the Dataverse Connector.
The problem only relates to certain entities, in this case the default entity Category.

Unfortunately, I can't figure out why I can't find this specific entity even though it exists in my Dataverse environment. Or rather, I don't know how to change it so that I can find it using the Dataverse Connector in Power BI.

I hope you can help me with this.
    Thanks again and best regards,
    Daniel
