Power query refresh only after excel file restart?

 Hello everyone,

I have several excel files with power queries and everything was working fine until recently when the refresh starts to stop working
in each file. In fact, one query refreshes and then the next one stuck and just spins with the message Loading data ...
When I close the file and open it again, the query refreshes almost immediately.
Then when I try the next query it stuck again and I have to close the excel file again and when I open it again the query executes very quickly.
I note that this is not the case with just one file, but with all of them where I have power queries.
Has anyone had a similar case and is there a solution to prevent this from happening?

Hi @Hoki71 ,
According to your description, have you enabled the Enable Background Refresh option, if this option is enabled, the data will be refreshed automatically, which may result in a slow refresh. You can try to enable the fast load data option, this will speed up your data loading.
