Power query problem while extracting day from date by add column option

Power query problem while extracting day from date by add column option , ih this the whole window is not fitted upto screen of pc /laptop and while extracting day name from date we can't able to get home , view and all necessary tab that the at top of power query (ETL) after extraction of day name from date you can't able to get back to your top tab as much as you can nothing will happen I have wasted lots of time in understanding this problem now finally give you a suggestion to change it becoz all work has to do from starting. Not a single top menu option like home , view, etc are visible no way to go back

Hi @rs281105 You’re right, I understand your frustration. This is a Power BI UI issue the "Name of Day" is only about 70% visible at the bottom in Laptop but 100% visuble in Large Monitor. In your case, it might be even less.

Root Cause: There is a high probability you laptop has 125% scale

if you adjust your device display setting to 100% it will visible perfectly 

 

Go to your PC Settings -> Display Settings -> Scale & Layout -> Scale 100%

However, Here is the m-code to get the Name of Day from your Date column 

= Table.AddColumn(#"Changed Type", "Day Name", each Date.DayOfWeekName([Date]), type text)
