Hi,
while writing M code in power query inside excel, it does not show related function as per what we are typing, but inside power bi, it does. Why is it so ? is there any option that I need to turn on ?
In the below picture when I started typing Table.AddColumns then Power query guides by showing some more related functions. This is the pic taken from Power query inside Power bi.

Open PQ in Excel - File - Options & Settings - Query Options and see if below is checked. If not, check it. If checked, uncheck it and recheck again.
