Hi,
while writing M code in power query inside excel, it does not show related function as per what we are typing, but inside power bi, it does. Why is it so ? is there any option that I need to turn on ?
In the below picture when I started typing Table.AddColumns then Power query guides by showing some more related functions. This is the pic taken from Power query inside Power bi.

Yes, Intellisense option is available only in Excel 365 i.e. only in subscription versions of Excel (not in Excel 2019 which is non-subscription version).

Open PQ in Excel - File - Options & Settings - Query Options and see if below is checked. If not, check it. If checked, uncheck it and recheck again.
Close PQ and open again.
