Hello Community,
Hope somenone can provide a solution or a workaround this...
I have a report connected to Salesforce Object. Until now everything was working fine, but recently I got this error : DataSource.Error : exceeded 100000 distinct ids when trying to load ProcessInstance Object into power query in power bi desktop.
From what I found so far it is a power BI limitation and not a salesforce one. I already have "view all data" permission set in salesforce.
Can anyone provide a solution and/or a way to load heavy objects in power query ?
this is the information I found on the help page of salesforce: https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000386735&type=1
Let me know if you would need more information on this.
thanks a lot !

Hi @LP008 were you able to find a solution? As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector, which pulls data directly from the SF objects API. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:
There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
Hi @LP008 ,
Please refer to the solution:

@Anonymous thanks I saw this topic, but do not have the capacity to filter out records or even to query on the data before loading it when connecting on SFDC objects. See below:
