Power Query navigator with characteristic restrictions when loading data from Analysis Services

Hi Community,

I need your help!

When loading data from SAP BW to Power BI, users have the option to apply dynamic filters, that retricts data before being loaded into Power BI. This is an huge advantages, when working with queries containing a lot of data, and very user friendly for report developers, as no coding is required.

My question to you is: Is it possible to add similar pre-filtering options for Power Query editor, when loading data from SQL Server Analysis Services to Power BI?

Have a great day 🎉

Kind regards
Martin

Hi Olga,

Maybe I do not understand [Manage Parameters] proporly, but I do not see how they can be used to limit the size of imported data from Analysis Services to Power BI (Power Query Editor)?

Kind regards
Martin

Hi, create parameters in Power Query Editor,

Then go to the column needed to be filtered, add equals parameter. You can have different parameters where they can type in or choose from the list of values.
