Is there a way to temporarily disable the database querying when I open Power Query?
I imported data from SQL Server and every time I want to do transformations in Power Query, PBI is connecting to the database. Needless to say I just sit there waiting until the connection refreshed the view, because the table won't even show up on the screen. This is extremely annoying and slow. Not to mention, there's no way to work in Power Query when I don't have wifi, because PBI cannot connect to the datasource and won't show the table.
I deselected the option 'Include in Report Refresh' and I even tried shuting down the querying task in the Task Manager. Nothing works. My computer is consistently at 70% memory and CPU usage, because PBI is trying to connect each time I want to do as little as change a column type in Power Query. Help 😞
