Power Bi On-Premise & Active Directory

Hi all,

 

I want to install Power Bi On-Premise version, and I wonder if it is possible to use my AD for user authentication. I had echoes that this function was not stable.

 

any feed back ?

    nkasdali,

    What do you mean that “Power BI On-premise version”?

    If you mean that you want to install Power BI on-premises gateway, and use your on-premises Active Directory account to sign in, it is not possible. You would need to establish Azure Active Directory (AAD) in your environment as Power BI uses Azure Active Directory (AAD) to authenticate users who login to the Power BI service.
