Power BI not updating with new rows from Microsoft List

Hi All,

I am a relatively experienced Power BI user, and I have used MS Lists with Power BI before, and I have never had this issue. I have a dashboard that pulls in several data sources, including a couple MS Lists. The issue I am seeing is, as my colleagues update the list, the data is not updating in Power BI. I have tried refreshing the desktop version, the online version, and setting an automatic refresh for this dashboard, and regardless it will not load these new rows of data into the Power BI. I have seen several similar issues posted on the Power BI forum that included changing the import option from 1.0 to 2.0, changing the API connecter from version 15 to 14, and various other solutions. None of these solutions have worked for me. 

Does anyone have any idea on why this is happening and how I can fix it? Like I said, I use MS lists as a data source for various dashboards and none of the other dashboards have been having this issue.

Hi @CM_Learner ,

You mentioned that your MS List is only having problems with that dashboard and not with other dashboards. Then there should be no problem in the data source segment, it may be a problem with the data source connection configuration of your dashboard.
May I ask how you are connecting to the data source of this dashboard?

I would suggest that you try to recreate a dashboard with a data source that connects only to these MS Lists and see if the same problem occurs. If there is no problem, you can then continue to add other data sources one by one, checking for problems with each one you add to troubleshoot.

Hi! To answer your question about connection, I am connecting by "Get Data">"Sharepoint Lists Online"> Paste link and choose 2.0 (other posts have suggested using this instead of 1.0)> picking the correct lists out of the sources that are showing up. Looking back at my lists again, it seems all but one are updating correctly, I didn't realize the other were updating because there is just no recent data entered. So I am only having this update issue with one list, which comes from the same Sharepoint/data source as the others.
