Power BI and Sharepoint dates

Question

Can someone provide me with help about resolving an issue I am having?

I am ingesting data from SharePoint with a direct connection to Power BI desktop.

One field is causing me some grief which is a date field.

In Power BI query it shows as dd/mm/yyyy.

However, when I use this in a table, or slicer in Power BI desktop it shows the full date.

i.e., 25/02/2022 in Power BI query becomes Friday, February 25 2022 in the Power BI desktop.

I want it to show 25/02/2022 in the Power BI desktop.

How can I solve this?

Select your date column in the Data View and then choose the Short Date format in the Format pull down in Column Tools.
