Power BI Publisher for Excel add-in not loading

Hi,

 

I downloaded the preview of the add-in: Power BI Publisher for Excel. The product installs correctly but it does not load in Excel even after a reboot. Selecting the add-in in the COM-addin list does not work either.

 

In about, my version of Excel is 2016 MSO (16.0.6701.1005) 64-bit.  (I downloaded the 64 bit add-in).

    Go to the developer ribbon, open Com Add-ins, select the Power BI, add-in, click ok and reopen Excel.  This worked for me when I was having your problem.

    Having the same issue with 64bit Excel 2016.  Plugin fails to load

    I can't figure this out. It used to work fine and I was trying to demo it for a client this week and the add-in tab was gone - I couldn't activate it. :(

    Hi,

     

    I'm facing the same problem, in some computers it is working properly, in others not, any feedback from the geek of the community??

      Turns out (for me) I had Excel 2013 and 2016 installed on the same machine and it didn't like that - I uninstalled 2013, repaired 2016, and everything worked great.
