we are following below archeticture but struggling with automatic refresh of data for embeded report of power BI as this doesn't get updated as soon data is updated and we can only schdule 8 refresh in a day.
(there are direct query which we don't want to invest in at the moment)
We have created a OData APi which pull data from our database then we connect via Power BI desktop and create a report and publish it to powerBI app work space and our clients are accesing the reports embedded on a seperate web app.
Problem when we make any change to data , we have to schdule data refresh which can then update the data but is their another possiblity when client refresh the report at the web app , dataset can be refreshed ?
Any help will be appreciated, as it can cause chnages to our project scope.
Regards
Solved! Go to Solution.
You could upgrade to Power BI Premium and that would allow refreshes of up to 48 times per day.
Other than that, you are pretty much limited to either Direct Query or Streaming Dataset
@renusaini ,
The report in your web app will be automatically refreshed.

Lydia
@renusaini,
Adding to other's post, do you use “Publish to web” feature and embed Power BI reports in your web app? If so,please note that data refreshes are automatically reflected in your embedded report or visual, after refresh occurs in Power BI Service reports , it can take approximately 1 hour for refreshed data to be visible from embed codes.

Lydia
Thanks alot for information, I am using PowerBI Rest API to pull data into my web application.
I am not using the Embed code but its good to know they get updated automatically.
