I'm not a sharepoint expert but I reckon that's the issue creating your problem. When your colleagues add you to the sharepoint site as a user you should be able to load the data.

Not using dataflows just importing the data in power query using the SharePoint.Contents connector
Seems to be a problem with the acces rights to the sharepoint site. Do you have acces to the sharepoint site itself (did your colleagues add you as a user to the site?).
Also if your accessing the sharepoint site through dataflows it must be added to the gateway.
I have access to the company's sharepoint site but I do not have access to the marketing departments sharepoint site which is like a subsite within the company site.
