Parse Cell Data into new rows in new table?
Hello,
Can cell data from a table be parsed into a new table with the cell values as a new row?
This data is in PowerBi from a SQL table, but I've formatted some of it in Excel for simplicity of this post:
The top table is what the cells look like with the values separated by a comma. The idea is that the new table can create a new row for each of these separated values, and every other value in the row is the same. Is this possible in PowerBi??
*It's not necessary to separate the 'MEAL' values. My table relationships only use the unique MEAL_EXT_OBJECT_ID numbers.
** I can't modify the way the application writes to the database either
Thanks in advance,
Andrew
in power query editor there is a menu of "Split Column", and in that menu, there is a advanced function of splitting it to rows
