POWER QUERY DOES NOT RESPOND PROPERLY TO MY KEYBOARD AND MOUSE! PLEASE HELP!
I am loving PowerQuery, but my experience is becoming very painful.
I Know PowerQuery loads can be slow, but what I am talking about here is that the application is not responding correctly to my commands.
The lag to insert a character in the editor is unbelievable. I am spending lots of minutes just entering a simples formula because PowerQuery appears to not respond to some keys. Or they take a lot of seconds to appear on the screen.
This happens to the mouse as well. It is quite common the PowerQuery Behaves as I am holding the left mouse buttons and dragging the Steps around...
Or when I am trying to copy and paste a formula it became almost mission impossible because the mouse does not select what I want!
Before you think that the problem is with my mouse and keyboard, let me just clarifies that this only happens in PowerQuery ( no problem happens when I am writing this question).
Can some please help me?

Disable all background loads and see if that improves things. Disable refresh for data sources you don't actually need.

Seems too many queries are processing. There is no simple solution to this. Basically, you need to review the model, you may remove unused tables or columns, and avoid complex query steps.
Using search engine, you can find many blogs and post regarding to optimize power bi model. For example:

Thanks for the answers.
I had already disabled all background loads.
And not all queries are loaded into the Excel file.
In the number of rows I don't think the file is too complex( I read a lot(less than 150) of PDF and Excel files, but the number of rows is not greater than 500.I am not a master of Dax or Power Query so maybe my code could be better...
I could understand if the code was slow to run ... but not be able to write or use the mouse properly is horrible.
Is there a way to stop Power Query from "doing" the step unless I click on something ?
Or maybe disable autocomplete ( i don't know if there is a way)Thanks for all the help!

The funny part is that I tried the same file on another computer ( that is less powerful than the other one and the Office Version is older (2016 x Office 365) and I don't have the same problem.
On the older PC that I don't have a problem with the power query, he does not help me with syntax ( down know if this is an option or the older version just don't have this feature)... go figures...
