Onedrive.live security warning and cannot open spreadsheet in power query

Hi - I have a personal office 365 account and windows11. Am having 2 frustrating problems I am hoping someone can help.

1st issue

Every time I go to open a spreadsheet from onedrive.live.com I get a warning that "this content presents a potential security issue. Do you trust this content." I have added "https://d.docs.live.net" to my trusted sites and still get this message. Is there any way to stop this?

2nd issue

I am trying open a spreadsheet in power query using the onedrive.live.com url. I have followed the instructions. Which are

  1. From onedrive.live.com open the spreadsheet in the app.

  2.  Copy the path

  3. Open a blank spreadsheet, select get data from the web and paste in the url.

  4. I get the error message which says "unable to connect" "we encountered an error while trying to connect. Details: The downloaded data is HTML, which isnt the expected type. The URL may be wrong or you might not have provided the right credentials to the server".

Really would appreciate some help. I have spent most of the day searching the web for answers without luck.

Thanks, John

Hi @JohnD61 ,
According to your description, first of all for the first question, this is an existing ICM that belongs to Office 365. there is an alternative method you seem to have tried, to suppress the warning for trusted sites, tenants can add the trusted sites and hostnames in the internet zones feature.
SharePoint/Excel - This content presents a potential security issue. Do you trust this content? - Mi...
For the second issue, as the error message you provided indicates, your url address is wrong. If you want to use power query to get the form on onedrive, you need to use the explicit form address so that you can get the form data correctly. You can check out this documentation for details on how to do that
