On-premises data gateway - Does the user need a PBI Pro license?

Hi,

 

when installing the data gateway I need to supply a user with credentials to be used by the gateway.

I created a dedicated user for this --> gateway@myproject.onmicrosoft.com

 

Does this user need a pro-license allocated to it in the O365 admin portal?

It doesn't require Power BI Pro license to use Power BI gateway.
