On-prem gateway: Reinstall
Hello,
I'm trying to troubleshoot a couple of issues we are experiencing wih the on-prem gateway (e.g., the PBI service stops occasionally and needs to be manually restarted). If I uninstall and reinstall the on-prem gateway software on the host machine, will the gateway connections we have created in the service need to be rebuilt? Thanks in advance!!
No, they will not need to be recreated
I think as long as your gateway is named the same as before, and you use the recovery key, if necessary, you created upon initial install you should not need to re-create anything in the service
I have unstalled and reinstalled in the past with no issue
