OLE DB/ODBC Expression Error after unfolding lists

Hey everyone,

 

I've tried to find a similar issue in the community but don't seem to find the right solution. So i'm building a new dashboard, one of the imported data rows (via the Mailchimp BĂ©ta connector) is in a 'list' row (see first image).

As long as i keep this row unchanged, there's no problem with loading the data in to the dashboard. But as soon as I unfold the list row to records, I get a Expression Error after trying the close & apply:

OLE DB or OBDC-error [Expression.Error]. The field list_stats of the table wasn't found. 

 

When i delete the previous step and take it back to a [list] row, instead of records, everything's fine. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and maybe how to fix it? I need to 'unfold' that row of [list] values.

(Sorry if my English is wrong, not sure what the right terms are since I'm using the Dutch language in Power Bi. Should probably consider changing it to English 🙂 )

    Hi Anonymous 

    Are the two columns "Id" and "timeseries" from two different data sources, two tables?

    How do you add the list, could you show your code in Advanced editor?

    Hi, Since the Mailchimp service pack was deprecated, you would have to look for another way to connect Mailchimp. As a workaround, maybe you can use a 3rd party connector, it can save you a lot of time compared to other options. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Mailchimp connector in the data sources list:

     

     

    After that, you will have to first create a secret API key in your Mailchimp account and then using your credentials add your account to the platform.

     

     

    Once you’ve done this, you can proceed and go to the “Preview and destination” step

     

     

    There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
