OData: Request failed: Unable to connect to the remote server Project Online

Greetings,

We have a hosted Project Online instance and I am trying to connect Power BI Desktop to our Odatafeed and no matter which connection method I use I'm always returned the following message.

Details: "OData: Request failed: Unable to connect to the remote server"

I'm using the following URL (I've taken our actual company out of it), I've tried with the ending / and still no luck.

https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/_api/ProjectData

I'm able to connect with Odata through SSIS connection managers without an issue. I'm an admin for the pwa site collection. I can connect to the online PowerBI without an issue. Seems to just be something with the Power BI Desktop.

Any help would be greatly appriciated!

    Hi JaredSM,

In your scenario, please follow below options to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Connect to Project Online in Excel follow this article to see if the issue is related to OData feed URL: Creating burndown charts for Project using Power Pivot and Power Query.

    2. Try to update the desktop to the latest version: 2.40.4554.463.

    3. Enable the desktop trace log files and check the detail error messages when you connect to Project Online.

    4. Use Fiddler to trace the HTTP traffic.

    Best Regards,
