Hi guys, i'm looking for some much needed guidance, I have a schedule refresh setup on an ODBC dataset which has a dashboard report created off it, for some reason the dataset and report show that they have been refreshed at the same time successfully but the visualisations within the reports have not updated.
If I open up the reports, press edit and then refresh, all the visualisations update to contain the correct updated data, but this of course is a manual task the scheduled refresh is there to avoid.
Any idea on what could be up here and if the reports can be updated automatically?
Like I said, any help would be really appreicated!
Hi @neilgeorge ,
The reason for this is that Service maintains a separate cache for report to ensure that users can open and view reports as the dataset is refreshed, and it overwrites the cache with new data after the dataset has been successfully refreshed for a period of time, which is usually not long. Of course you can also click Refresh in the report to synchronize the cache immediately.
Best Regards,
Gao
