Users have issue with accessing reports it gives this error:
Semantic model refreshes fine - fixed as ther was issue because original owner leaved the company. But still the same error. If I download .rdl file there are no option to edit credentials for it at all:
If i run report in Report Builder - same error.
According to copilot i need to recreate or reports in that case? I hope its a joke ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I don't think you need to recreate the entire report. You should be able to create a new Data Source in the .rdl file, then edit the Datasets to point to that new source.
But be careful how you authenticate that Data Source. You may need to set it up with saved credentials that get used regardless of who is running the report. If you want the end user's credentials to get passed through to the Data Source, that is going to be a bit harder.
