Not able to connect to Share Point

I'm trying to fetch data from the sharepoint in the company I work for. I do have access to the Share Point site using Edge and/or Chrome. But when I try to connect using the wizard get data from SharePoint on the Microsoft Account screen, it asks me to sign in and when trying to sign in I get an error about cookies being disabled. Checked my browsers (default is Edge) and I have cookies enable.

Hi bonilladaniel  - I am sorry, but I think you will need to contact your company's IT support.  It does look like the cookie settings are causing the issue.  I think you might need to shortlist other website to allow MFA to work properly.  Your IT team will be able to help trouble-shoot.  If not, they can open a general Microsoft support ticket.

  • hi all,

Unfotunatelly my error was somthing off the books, after over 12 hours of IT support connected to my computer, tryed to repair Office, reinstall, edit register and others it finally worked when we changed to Internet Explorer default browser (not Edge, not Chrome) and them added the site as default in IE.

  • Hello bonilladaniel , I had a similar problem, and found a workaround using the following process. You can try it before contacting your IS team.

(sorry, my screenshot is in french, because I'm french 🙂 )

First, search and open "Internet options" from the windows menu,

    Then follow these steps:

    1. Open "Security" tab,

    2. Open "Trust sites" section,

    3. Click on "Sites" button,

    4. Add all websites you see (and will see) in the error prompt. For example, here you must add "https://*.microsoftonline.com".

Repeat step 4 while your your connection process in Power Query fails.

    Hope this helps.
    Alexandre
