No Sharepoint List detected

I have an Sharepoint 2013 list that I am trying to connect to using Power BI Desktop. I'm trying to connect to the source using Sharepoint List tool and introducing the URL address of my site at Sharepoint Server, and I can successfully connect and log in.

The problem comes here: A new window pops up where I guess I should have to select the list I want to import, but that window is empty. I'm sure that I'm doing something wrong, but I've failed when followig tutorials and searching for solutions at other threads.

Thanks for your help.

@jmartinezp,

Do you use the latest version of Power BI Desktop(2.47.4766.542)? How about you use the OData feed in Power BI Desktop to connect to the SharePoint list? You can enter the following URL in OData Feed entry, remember to change SITE_URL with the real URL of your site/subsite.

http://SITE_URL/_vti_bin/ListData.svc

@jmartinezp,

What authentication type do you use to connect to the SharePoint site in Power BI Desktop? Could you please check that if you have sufficient permissions on the SharePoint lists?

Lydia

Hi Lydia,

I manage to connect using Windows authentication and my profile at SP2013 is defined as owner of the site with administrative privileges.

Javier

It works using OData!!!!

Thanks!!!!

Do you use the On-Prem Data Gateway as well? If yes, did you succeed in setting up a working data source to the On-Prem SP?
