Hi Anonymous
Have you updated Power Bi to the latest version? It's available in the OneLake data hub
Thanks
Joe

Hi Chris
Sorry I missed this
Power Bi updates monthly. Go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494 and download the latest version.
To get updated when there is a new version go to Options > Updates and tick the box and Ok, you will then get a notification when a new update is available.
Thanls
Joe

No worries, thank you, JoeBarry . I had a meeting internally, and they explained this really is a natural thing, for the way they've chosen to implement our new datamart. They have not told me how people typically use Power BI in these situations, which is what I'm really trying to understand (definitely not an updated-version issue). However, they're offering me access to connect directly to the server which solves all of this and gives me the Power Query access I'm used to, to manipulate the data and connect data sources like I need.
