New tables not updating in datasets from Azure SQL Data Warehouse

Sundar1606,
Do you refresh the dataset in Power BI Service? Refresh in Power BI Service is data refresh, when you add new tables in the database, you would need to import the new tables to Power BI Desktop, then republish the Power BI Desktop file to Power BI Service.

Sundar1606,
When you add new tables in the same database, you are able to import data of the new tables into the current PBIX file even you use DirectQuery mode to connect to Azure SQL data warehouse.

Sundar1606Anonymous I should have clarified my response as well. Using the Import connection, there is no issue if you use the Desktop. If you use Direct Query in the Desktop or just connect from the Service you will run into problems as you can't add the extra tables. I understand the limitation in the Service, but I'm a bit confused as to why it isn't allowed in the Desktop for Direct Query.
