Need help with AADSTS50076 - error message

Hellow,

When i try to access dataflow through Power BI - desktop, then i get this error message "AADSTS50076: Due to a configuration change made by your administrator, or because you moved to a new location, you must use multi-factor authentication to access 'e406a681-f3d4-42a8-90b6-c2b029497af1'. Trace ID: dea72220-e05f-401d-86ee-624a3daa6a00 Correlation ID: 7d72f44b-cccf-493c-a5f5-0b6aa01c2869 Timestamp: 2024-06-13 12:40:39Z. https://login.microsoftonline.com/error?code=50076".

It dose not seem that our IT - department is willing to help me with this matter duo to the fact that they don't know alot about Power BI.

Do you have any possible soluation for this matter? My dataflow is located in a workspave where i have admin - roll. My colleuage can access thse same dataflow but i can't.

I appreciate all help and your efforts.

Hello @MunTah,

to understand the cause of your problem, I would like to ask a few questions.

  • Have you had to change your password (Entra ID) in the last few days?
  • Have you changed your smartphone in the last few days (Microsoft Authenticator)?
  • Are you logged in to Power BI Desktop with your User ID?
  • Do you only have the problem in the home office?
  • Is the problem affecting all dataflows or just one?

Can you try the following. Create a new "empty" Power BI .pbix file and try to connect to the dataflow in question. Does it work?

Best regards from Germany

Hello Manuel,

  • Have you had to change your password (Entra ID) in the last few days? I have not and I have started working in this compay for just two months ago. Ever since i started i wasn't able to access any of the dataflow. However, some of my colleagues can.
  • Have you changed your smartphone in the last few days (Microsoft Authenticator)? I have not
  • Are you logged in to Power BI Desktop with your User ID? I'm logged with my user ID and it's not working with just this account.
  • Is the problem affecting all dataflows or just one? all of them saddly

Can you try the following. Create a new "empty" Power BI .pbix file and try to connect to the dataflow in question. Does it work? I have tried that and it works to access and get data from dataflow but when i export the report to Power BI - platofrom, then the problem starts all over again.

Appreciate your aswer,

Best regards from Stockholm.
