Need Help "Connect to Azure Active Directory Activity Logs"

I am trying to make some modifications to the report that comes with the "Azure Active Directory Activity Logs" Content Pack, but I appear to be unable to edit it (“You can’t edit a shared report” is what is shown when I hover over edit report)

I then tried to create a new dashboard/report but the dataset isn’t listed for me to select (it seems the content pack creates some sort of hidden/shared set of dataset/dashboard/report and I’m unable to modify anything)

So then I tried to use power bi desktop (November edition) to try to author the report and install the content pack. Alas, it appears to be unavailable to use in powerbi desktop.

Help!

    Anonymous,

How do you connect to the Azure Active Directory Activity Logs content pack in Power BI Service? Please use the highlighted option to search the content pack and then connect to it. This way, you should be able to edit the report. I test with Google Analytics content pack , and it works as expected.

    Regards,
    Lydia

      Thank you!

This was a different step compared to using the "App" inside "Apps".

If you connect up the app and get the data that way, you can't edit any of the dashboards or reports that come with the app.

If you click on "Service Content Packs" as per your screenshot, it creates a new dashboard and report for you, which you can open and edit.
