I have a MongoDB Atlas database to which I have previously successfully connected using MongoDB BI Connector and ODBC Driver, and ODBC Data Source 64-bit.
I added a new collection to my database, and I reinstalled/reconfigured everything, but still the new collection does not show up as a table when I try to connect to the data source.
Is there a way to refresh somewhere along this pipeline to get the new collection to appear?
Really really disappointed in the microsoft response here.
The community support team commented:
-an unrelated issue with mongo connectors to power bi
-a 'what is mongodb' article, huh?
-a VERY general FAQ on the bi connectors in mongo, only tangentially related to powerbi
-an inexplicable reference to sqld? We're talking about the ODBC driver here.. come on!
I am facing the same issue. Were you able to resolve this?
Hi Li Yingjie,
Could you clarify what you mean by connection is "saved in the database"? I have set up the BI Connector, and already connected successfully once with MongoDB Atlas => BI Connector => Mongo ODBC Driver, but when I create new collections these do not show up in Power BI Query.
I do get some of the existing collections and nested fields as tables, but not the newer ones.
Is there a way to refresh the connection? I deleted and remade it at every step I thought, but was still unable to see the new tables.
Thank you!
Hi @ojt212 ,
Please make sure the connection has been saved in your database first.
Then create a new ODBC connector to connect to your db, check whether the connection has appeared in the Navigator page.
In addition, you can refer these similar issue and documents which may help you:
