Migrate Spotfire to Power BI

Does Spotfire provide REST API to extract data or does Spotfile has backend database available? In Power BI Desktop, it is possible to connect to REST API using web connector, and we are able to import data from database to Desktop.

Hi Lydia,

We do have a back end database...I am quiet hesitant to do this as I am still a newbie in using Power BI 🙂

What is the type of your database? You can check if there are built-in connectors for the database in Power BI Desktop. If not, consider to create ODBC data source for the database, then connect to the ODBC in Power BI Desktop.
