Merging tables and Enable Load and Computed Tables

Why does a merged table turn into a computed table if one of the merged tables has Enable Load checked? If I don't Enable Load then it is not a computed table any longer.

The issue I have is when I have a computed table in my dataflow it fails upon refresh with this error: Error: On-Prem execution not supported for entity 'computed entity name here' since it refers to another entity.. Param1 = 'computed entity name here'

I don't necessarily need Enable Load, but confused why it must be unchecked and why the dataflow verification process doesn't flag this as an issue with the refresh.

Hi @arock-well

As far as I know, enable load is checked by default. If you have some suggestion, you can submit an idea to improve Power BI. Thanks!

I realize that. My question, however, is why does it matter?
