Merge Queries: Returns Column of "Table" Values?

mike_302_0-1642412641852.png

See the above Merge queries settings. I want the "Code" column to be merged into the OCLCA_Import_Sheet table, based on the common column, RICS NRM Category.

With the settings as seen above, The result is:

The "Table" item in each row is both the columns from the Tbl_RICSNRMCat dataset. I only want the Code column merged. How can I achieve this?

Hi @mike_302 ,

Then you can choose from a list which column(s) you want to be added to the base table via the merge.

Cheers! I've done that now and it's served the purpose. I guess I was expecting there to be a way to do that within the merge step, perhaps making things more efficient, but I don't care too much 🙂 Objective achieved.

No worries, glad it's sorted 🙂

The merge/expand steps are separated so you can perform calculations/transformations etc. on the nested tables before you expand.
