Merge 2 excel files into one for Power BI report
Hello,
I'm creating a Power BI dashboard by connecting 2 excel files.
Challenge over here is that in both the excel files there are more or less columns. But there are around 20 columns which are same within both the excel files.
I want this 20 columns running Power query to develop the dashboard.
Please advise. Thanking you in advance.

Hi E5254730 .
Load both the tables in Power BI and merge on the basis of any common column.

For both queries, first remove the auto generated "Changed Type" step in Applied Steps pane. Then click Home tab, use "Choose Column" to select the common 20 columns. Only these selected columns will be remained. Then merge two queries into one query. Use it for your report.
