I have two seperate excell spreadsheets, both have the same reference number.
When I manage the relationship between these two files, the second coulmn does not populate correctly and comes up as a random number.
This is the relationship i have set up as the cardiality will not let me change it from many to many.
I have tried also linking bot to a go between to see if that helps but it does not
Do i need to change something in the raw data for this r

In at least 1 of your files the reference number should be unique.
You probably can't fix it at the source, but maybe you can use powerquery to transform the data to satisfy this requirement.
