Make an imported excel file static

Hi There

I am looking to upload a spreadsheet to power query and then make it static so I dont need to implement a gateway for refreshing.

Is this possible or do I have to build a table from scratch in power query?

Thanks

Dave

Hi @Woody2022 ,

Maybe OneDrive refresh is a possible approach.

Data refresh in Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

If you created your datasets and reports based on a Power BI Desktop file, Excel workbook, or comma separated value (.csv) file on OneDrive or SharePoint Online, Power BI performs another type of refresh, known as OneDrive refresh. For more information, see Get data from files for Power BI. And it updates hourly.

Best Regards,

Stephen Tao

I think the best solution is to create a "Data Flow".
