Link Adobe Analytics to PowerBI

Hey everyone!

I've got an issue with the connection of Adobe Analytics and PowerBI. My Adobe Analytics account isn't linked to an Adobe ID, so I can't use the oAuth2-authentication. Normally I use the X-WSSE-authentication with API username and Shared Secret - this isn't possible in PowerBI as far as I see. Has anyone an idea for a solution? That would be awesome 🙂

Unfortunately the linking of my Adobe Analytics account to an Adobe ID isn't an option, because I'm not the admin and there are complex access privileges for this account.

Thank you,

Max

Hi @Max_Bahne,

Yes, you can contact your Adobe Analytics administrator to link your Adobe Analytics account to Adobe ID. Then you can use oAuth2 authentication when connecting to Adobe Analytics content pack.

Hi @Max_Bahne,

Based on my research, to connect to Adobe Analytics content pack, we must have access to the Adobe Analytics API. Also the Adobe ID provided need to be linked to our Marketing Cloud Organization (associated to an Adobe Analytics company). And the supported Authentication Method is oAuth2. For more information, please refer to this article: Adobe Analytics content pack for Power BI.

In your scenario, as Adobe Analytics account isn't linked to an Adobe ID, I'm afraid your requirement can't be achieved.

Hey @v-qiuyu-msft,

thanks for your answer!

I already assumed that there is no other solution for this problem, maybe I can find a way to link my Adobe Analytics account to an Adobe ID with my admin.

Best Regards,

Max
