Landing page in PowerBI

I have a dashboard which has more then 10 pages. But I want seperate a dashboard(landing page). I know this can be created in PowerBi service by Pinning dashboard page. But if I do this, Bookmarks on that page won't work. So, now How can i do this. I do not want to use powerBI Apps. I do not want to duplicate and trim dashboard pages. So, what's the suggestion in this case.

Power BI doesn’t support page-level security. Once someone has access to a report, they can see all of its pages.

That’s why the “dedicated landing page” idea is usually just for navigation, not for restricting access. Say if you need Person A to see only the PDS page and nothing else, you’ll need to create a separate report (just containing that page) and share that with them.

I'd still suggest using Power BI Apps with audiences (if available). Publish your reports into an App, and use App audiences to control who sees which report. That way Person A only sees the PDS-only report.

Hello @Diksha

If you pin a report page to a dashboard in the Service, you’re only getting a static tile. That’s probably why your bookmarks, buttons, and other interactive features don’t work.

If your goal is to have a proper “landing page” that drives navigation across the rest of the report, you’ll need to keep it as part of the report itself, not as a pinned dashboard. The usual approaches I'd recommend are:

  • Build a dedicated landing page in the same report and use buttons/bookmarks to guide users.

  • Or, if you want a true entry point outside of the report, the cleanest option is to use an App and set the landing page as the default (I know you mentioned not wanting Apps, but that’s really the intended way).

  • Build a dedicated landing page in the same report and use buttons/bookmarks to guide users.. How this be possible. I have one page - PDS. I want to share this page to one person who I want can not access to other pages. And for all other pages, dashboard will work same as earlier.
