We have some vehicle management data we track and something we wanted to do was take our VIN's (or make model) and pull back the current market value of the vehicles.
Has anyone setup any data feeds like that and or do you know of any good sources?
Kelly BlueBook comes to mind but I didn't know if anyone knew of a prebuilt data connector or a good way to query that data?
Thanks!
I looked into something similar a while back when we were trying to get a rough value range for a few vehicles in a small fleet and it turned out there isn’t always a super clean direct feed unless you go through a paid data provider. A lot of the big sites like Kelley Blue Book or similar tend to keep that stuff behind partnerships or APIs. What ended up helping me a bit was using the VIN to pull vehicle details first, then comparing that against market listings. Somewhere in the middle of that process I remember seeing people on a few forums talk abouthttps://vehicledatabases.com/, and I had also randomly seen an ad for it before so I checked it out just out of curiosity. It gave the vehicle specs and some value related info tied to the VIN which at least helped us organize things before comparing with market prices. Not exactly a full pricing feed but it might help fill in part of the data if you’re building something around VIN lookups.

There is no prebuilt data connector in Power BI Desktop to connect to Kelly Blue Book. You can consider to use some APIs such as Edmunds API or NADA API to retrieve car value data, and enter the web URL in “Get data->Web” entry to import data to Power BI Desktop.
There is a similar thread for your reference.
