Solved

Issue with credential pop up window loading

Essentially, I go to refresh the credentials in Power Query and the window loads but nothing I do can pull the focus to that window to select the account. I think it has something to do with edge not being able to load on this computer (Loads to a blank white screen then immediately crashes). As my organisation has set edge as the default browser.

If anyone has seen something similar please let me know. I have tested power query in excel and it works with no problems. I have tried reinstalling power bi several times. Reinstalling edge about 30 times, resets, sfc checks and image health checks and restores.

    Hi Anonymous ,

    1. I go to refresh the credentials in Power Query and the window loads but nothing I do can pull the focus to that window to select the account.

Did you click on the "Data Source setting" to edit the permissions?Or something else?

Please provide more details about your issue to help us clarify your scenario, like some screenshots, more descriptions...

2.In addition, I'd suggest you use Chrome instead.

    Best Regards,

This is the real solution to this problem:

You need to go to FILE - OPTIONS AND SETTINGS - OPTIONS - GLOBAL - SECURITY.

Enable the "Use my default browser" option.

    Thanks Eyelyn,

I attempted to edit the permissions as you have shown above. With the same issue. Switching browsers to chrome did not help even with Edge uninstalled.

The fix, unhelpfully, was about 4 days of letting various organisational updates install.

    I appreciate your response.

This is not really a solution. I am facing the same issue and the IT team have re-installed the PBI app and still showing the same. The pop up window doesn't really pop up.
