Is there a way to create custom date formats?
I'm looking for a way to create a custom date format as DD/MMM/YYYY but right now Power BI only supports DD/MMM/YY.

Hi Anonymous ,
You can achieve the DD/MMM/YYYY format by creating a new column with below DAX:
Date_Column = FORMAT(Tablename[date_field],"dd/mmm/yyyy")Refer below image:Give a thumbs up if this post helped you in any way and mark this post as solution if it solved your query !!!

6 years agoIf you need to use this in the query editor (e.g., you have additional data transformation to do with it), you can use Date.ToText(). For example, a custom column with this formula
= Date.ToText([DateColumn], "dd/MMM/yyyy")
If this works for you, please mark it as the solution. Kudos are appreciated too. Please let me know if not.
