Is it possible to save login credentials ?

I'm using Power Bi desktop for some reports.

Every day i have to login (when i select Update/refresh in Power Bi desktop) to the datasource which is an Microsoft SQL server where the data i pulled from.

In Excel Pivot (where i used to build the reports) it's possible to save the login credentials but can't seem to find en option for it in Power BI.

They should save automatically. You can go to File | Options and settings | Data source settings and you can edit the credentials there. What version of Desktop are you on?

      I'm using Version: 2.44.4675.521

I can find the credentials under File | Options and settings | Data source settings so thats OK.

However next day i have to give the credentials again. It's like they are "lost" during the night. Perhaps our SQL forces/drops alle "connections" during the night but that should affect BI (if the credentials are saved wihtin BI itself).

If i save the credentials in an Excel Pivot they at kept and remembered the next day (no login neccesary).

      Strange.....

I would report that as an issue, you credentials should be stored securely in Power BI. I would be curious to know what happens for other data sources, like perhaps a SharePoint list or some other data source that requires authentication.
