Is Share File in SP Required for Get Data in BI

I have an Excel file in a subfolder of a SP library I want to Get into PBI.  I have no problem getting to the SP subfolder within PBI (pasted the URL of the SP subfolder into the SP Connect field of PBI), but I cannot see the Excel file itself.

I thought maybe I have to share the file inside the SP library first, but I don't know what to enter into the SP share dialog box.  Dialog box looks like it is to share with individuals by email address.

I'm very excited that PBI connects to SP libraries; I just need this last step to actually see and Get the Excel file.
