Importing Windows Event Logs (.evtx) into PowerBI

I would like to report on application events captured in the Windows Event Logs. I can do that if I export the logs as .csv, but I would prefer to connect directly to the log so there's no manual steps. Any advice on whether this can be done, and if it can, how to parse the .evtx file?
